Why people blog?

It's interesting to dig out the reason why people blog. By writing down their own thoughts and daily happenings, they can make themselves more easily to be understood or known. I havent' been blogging here for almost one year. I don't think people are reading anyway. If I didn't advertise this website to my friends, how can they know my existence here. However, I still can remember my down moments in 2005. I thanks God for a year full of tears and happiness. No matter what he has arranged for me, I am willing to submit myself to him. 2006, another year which will be full of uncertainties and challenges. Lord, may you be with me always.

Sentimental moments

Over the past 4 months...I haven't written anything regarding my own life. The main reason is because I am not in any mood to share it over internet. To be honest, life hasn't been treating me very well. I was a bit lost, a bit not sure about everything in my life. I prayed pretty hard but I still feel empty sometimes. I often wonder if I choose to stay in Taiwan, what will happen to me now? Staying with my old nice job, having a nice house or getting married already? I am not too sure where I am heading right now. The only thing I know is He has a plan for me.

Yesterday I went to Ivanhoe to watch the Christmas light. It's quite crowded. A lot of people drove from city to this town. As you can see from the pics i posted, the Christmas decorations in their houses are very nice. Most of the decorations focus on Bible characters-Jesus, Virgin Mary and Joseph. When I arrived Ivanhoe, I felt I am back to Victoria (in Vancouver island). The houses are very much like houses in Victoria. The only difference is here we have a hot Christmas but in Canada...it's white Christmas!! I miss the Christmas I had in Montreal in 2000. That is the best Christmas I have ever had in my life--I walked on the snow on Christmas eve....the temperature is minus 25 degree but I felt so warm in my heart. This year I will have my Christmas with my Aussie friend in Ballarat. I was invited to his place to spend Christmas with his family. I met this friend in Canada in 2000 and now I am in Melbourne and we are still in good contact with each other. This world is quite small, isn't it?

Yesterday was my graduation day. This is the first time I attended an English speaking graduation ceremony. I wasn't too excited until the music started and the Chancellor started her address. I was quite lucky to be arranged to be seated at the first row so I got to witness the whole ceremony very clearly. I am a bit regretted that i didn't take the graduation photo offered by my uni-I reckon that would be a very memorable picture. The main reason I missed out that is because it was quite late when I collected and put on my academic dress.

I really like the dress...it's Oxford style and look very pretty. I noticed that only students that are awarded Master degree can wear hood. We also only lift up the trenchers to Chancellor to the dean when we are awarded our certificates. Overall speaking, I really like the ceremony-I even got the chance to walk through the red carpet with Chancellor and the dean...feel like I am the bride!!. Although It cost me $70 dollars just to attend the ceremony (it's very pricy) but it worths it. I always dream of having an oversees degree. I am really happy that I have accomplished it.

I have been in depression since I was back from Tasmania. This feeling is hard to describe--not feeling like socalizing with people and really want to spend time with myself only. I am a bit afraid of people calling me and asked what happened. Everyone keeps asking what's your plan for next year...will you go back Taiwan for work? When will you go back Melbourne? I badly miss Taiwan and my cat but I am not sure about my future plan.....and I don't know what will happen. Only God knows it. I started to pack up my stuff and contact carrier company to send my stuff back to Taiwan. It's quite sad when packing up and reflecting on what happened for the past one year. I had a really good time here in Melbourne.

A lot of things happened in the past week. Bible school, friends' birthday party, some going away parties, church activities....etc. I haven't spent time with just myself for almost a week. I am really feeling tired. For the next coming days, I will get baptised and then will fly to Tasmania for holiday. I don't know why I am not very excited at this moment. I guess being too socialized for the whole week really burned me out.

I got an email from my twin brother's finance today. She sent me LaLa and my family's photo. All of the sudden I felt I miss home so much. Yesterday I went to airport to see some friends off. It's kind of funny as seeing them leaving makes me feel I should go home too.

Finally, i finished the 11 subjects for my master of applied finaice degree. I couldn't believe that time flied so fast. It just seem to be yesterday when I landed in Melbourne. I am a bit sentimental as I feel it's hard to leave here. I don't know what will happen to me next year. Definitely I have to go home to attend my twin brother's wedding next January. Mum also wants me to go home as soon as possible to help with the wedding and house renovation. But I am in the process of preparing my migration assessment stuff. If they approve my application, then I will come back Melbourne next year for accounting courses.

In the meantime, I am also thinking about applying for a job in Taiwan in case the application fails. I think I am facing a big turing point in my life again--either my career or my location. This reminds me of one Bible verse ." Do not worry. For tomorrow has enough worry for itself." I hope I can figure out what to do ASAP.

Gosh!!

I can't believe that i have 5 assignments that need to be handed in for the next 2 weeks and i also have final exams coming up in November. I have been troubled by the timing of going back to Taiwan. Mum wanted me to go back earlier so that i can help her with my twin brother's wedding. I do want to go back as i miss my cat, my family and the food in Taiwan a lot.

However, I also got an information from my classmates that i might be able to do some accounting courses and then can apply for PR before next Oct 2nd.......I have been seriously thinking about it but i am not quite sure if I should do this. Canada is my original choice of migrating but i have a lot of good friends in Melbourne. I think I really need some time to think about it and also understand what's the point of staying in Australia.

Anyway, i have too much on plate right now and can's really think about these right now. I have to really concentrate on my study so that I can graduate this year.

The happy thing is Friday is coming. Finally I can get a good rest from the hard working week.

What a busy week!

Finally I finished uni for this week. So tired this week......had spent lots of hours doing assignments and caught up with the readings. It seems that i can be more efficient when exams are coming up. This semester's courses are pretty challenging to me. I have to learn VBA and also risk management regulations. I am so happy that Friday night is coming up as I can meet my Gateway friends and spend time with them in the weekend. Hope this weekend's program will be full of fun. Good nite.

Never have the thought of posting articles about myself here...It's an inspiration from one of my very close friends in Seattle.....I think it's a good beginning to let my friends know more about my life:)

I am currently studying in Uni of Melbourne. It's a nice city; but somehow deep in my mind, i still miss my home country- Taiwan. Life is all good here. I met a lot of new friends and hang out with them very often. I like making new friends...especially male friends:) Ha.....don't know why most of my close friends are male, probably I myself feel more comfortable getting along with males.

Anyway, I will stop here and will post more about myself in the future.
